Cookie policy

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files or values stored on a user's device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) when they visit a website. They allow the site to remember preferences and actions over a period of time, so users do not have to re-enter them every time they visit the site or navigate from page to page.
2. Types of cookies used
The website lamaletalockers.com uses a minimal number of cookies, with the sole purpose of ensuring the site works correctly and remembering the user's consent preference.
2.1 First-party cookies — technical / functional
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookiesAccepted | localStorage | Stores whether the user has accepted the cookie notice to avoid showing it again. | Until the user clears browser data |
Note: this entry uses localStorage, a browser storage mechanism similar to cookies but not sent to the server with each request.
2.2 Third-party cookies
The city pages (Barcelona and Marbella) embed a Google Maps map via an <iframe>. When it loads, Google may set cookies and process user data (including the IP address) in accordance with its privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.
The home page (/en/) loads the Leaflet.js, AOS.js and anime.js libraries from a third-party CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net) to display the interactive map with both locations and the animations. This CDN may log the user's IP address for technical reasons, but does not set advertising cookies.
2.3 Analytics or advertising cookies
This website does not use analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics), behavioural advertising cookies or any tracking cookies.
3. Legal basis
Storing cookiesAccepted in localStorage is based on the user's consent (Article 6.1(a) GDPR and the applicable ePrivacy rules), given by clicking the "Accept" button on the cookie banner.
The Google Maps map (and the interactive map on the home page) only loads after consent to the “Marketing” category (Art. 6.1(a) GDPR). Until then a placeholder is shown and no connection to Google is made. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
4. Managing and withdrawing consent
Users can manage, block or delete cookies at any time through their browser settings:
To withdraw consent given via the cookie banner, delete the cookiesAccepted entry from your browser's localStorage (Developer Tools → Application → Local Storage), after which the banner will reappear on your next visit.
5. Modifications to this policy
The provider reserves the right to modify this Cookie Policy at any time, particularly when required by applicable law or when new features are added to the website. Users will be informed of significant changes via the cookie banner or through this page.
6. Further information
For any questions about the use of cookies on this website, users may contact the data controller at [TO BE COMPLETED email].
